After running the NYC Half Marathon in 2011 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, I joined Society Ties - the young professionals committee of the organization. Within the following year, I became chairwoman of the committee and helped raise nearly half a million dollars to fund groundbreaking research and support patients and caregivers living with blood cancers.
